The Stromies are three women (Angie Jorgensen, Sarah Conaway, and Tamsen Butler) who suffered from strokes at younger-than-average ages. All three were busy moms at the time of their strokes and none of them expected what was to come. Fast friends after meeting through fate and circumstance, Stromies is a combination of the words “stroke” and “homies.” They started calling themselves The Stromies early on as a bit of a joke but it evolved into a badge of honor for these three survivors.
