On Ask Win today (Monday, November 25, 2019), Best-Selling Author, Win C welcomes Christine Teh. Christine started her journey to become a finance and money coach back in 2016. Christine was at a point in her career where she just wasn't happy with what she was doing anymore. Christine knew that she wanted to be more involved with personal finance, so Christine interviewed a handful of people while trying to figure out what Christine wanted to do. Almost all of the advisors Christine met in her area were only interested in either selling she whole life insurance (because they get a large commission), or they need a certain amount of investable assets (usually in the six digit range). Christine have not met anyone who genuinely wanted to teach her how to manage her finances and be in control of her money on her own, regardless of portfolio size. So Christine decided that she will be that type of coach! Christine initially started offering her services for free to friends and family. Christine really loved the difference she was making, so she decided to launch her own business towards the end of 2016 part time while working at her corp job. Christine have recently quit and now doing coaching full time since May 2019. Christine have shared how her first month on her own went in this blog. It was definitely one of the best choices Christine have made so far! Throughout the process of launching Christine’s business, she have discovered that she really love what she do, it truly is her calling. Christine love helping people feel more at ease about their finances. Whether Christine is helping them figure out how to get out of debt, teaching them how to budget and learn investment, or assisting with retirement planning or tax planning. Christine also fell in love with the area of tax preparation and tax planning while volunteering for VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). Christine’s volunteer work as well as her clients asking many tax questions encouraged her to pursue becoming an Enrolled Agent. As such, Christine will also be able to offer tax consulting and preparation as well by 2020. Christine is very excited about this journey.
